Wisdom...

Do we ever wonder why wisdom is written in feminine context? It states; (Prov. 3:13-21) v. 14 "she is more precious than rubies, and all the things you may desire cannot compare with her".  Can it be that she is not necessarily a she? In the book of Solomon it describes her as an actual person. In researching it appears the word wisdom is a feminine noun in the Hebrew language "Chokmah or Chakmah", meaning: wisdom, shrewd, wise, and skilled. There seems to be no evidence as to why so many verses have this written this way, but wisdom seems to be portrayed as having virtue. In Proverbs 8, she is crying out, and chapter 9, she is building her house. We see her as a virtuous or woman of folly, who knows nothing. While the word wisdom may not literally be a gender issue, it is portrayed as a lady. The description, "wisdom" in the scriptures described it as noble, elegant, beautiful and poetic. Knowledge often appears in the masculine context. Wisdom is a faithful partner, and is something that is attainable. Would you seek her today? Wisdom has a purpose in our life, and it can be embraced with dignity. Walk in the ways of wisdom and not folly. Blessings ...
