Teacup Story. 🍡

There was a couple who used to go to England to shop in the beautiful stores. They both liked antiques and pottery and especially teacups. This was their 25th wedding anniversary.

One day in this beautiful shop they saw a beautiful teacup. They said, “May we see that? We’ve never seen one quite so beautiful.”

As the lady handed it to them, suddenly the teacup spoke “You don’t understand,” it said. “I haven’t always been a teacup. There was a time when I was red and I was clay.” My master took me and rolled me and patted me over and over and I yelled out, “let me alone”, but he only smiled, “Not yet.”

“Then I was placed on a spinning wheel,” the teacup said, “and suddenly I was spun around and around and around. Stop it! I’m getting dizzy!” I screamed. But the master only nodded and said, ‘Not yet.”

Then he put me in the oven. I never felt such heat. I wondered why he wanted to burn me, and I yelled and knocked at the door. I could see him through the opening and I could read his lips as He shook his head, “Not yet.”

Finally the door opened, he put me on the shelf, and I began to cool. “There, that’s better,” I said. And he brushed and painted me all over. The fumes were horrible. I thought I would gag. “Stop it, stop it!” I cried. He only nodded, “Not yet.”

Then suddenly he put me back into the oven, not like the first one. This was twice as hot and I knew I would suffocate. I begged. I pleaded. I screamed. I cried. All the time I could see him through the opening nodding his head saying, “Not yet.”

Then I knew there wasn’t any hope. I would never make it. I was ready to give up. But the door opened and he took me out and placed me on the shelf. One hour later he handed me a mirror and said, “Look at yourself.” And I did. I said, “That’s not me; that couldn’t be me. It’s beautiful. I’m beautiful.”

“I want you to remember, then,” he said, “I know it hurts to be rolled and patted, but if I had left you alone, you’d have dried up. I know it made you dizzy to spin around on the wheel, but if I had stopped, you would have crumbled. I knew it hurt and was hot and disagreeable in the oven, but if I hadn’t put you there, you would have cracked. I know the fumes were bad when I brushed and painted you all over, but if I hadn’t done that, you never would have hardened; you would not have had any color in your life. And if I hadn’t put you back in that second oven, you wouldn’t survive for very long because the hardness would not have held. Now you are a finished product. You are what I had in mind when I first began with you.”

Moral:

God knows what He’s doing (for all of us).He is the Potter, and we are His clay. He will mold us and make us, So that we may be made into a flawless piece of work. To fulfill His good, pleasing, and perfect will. No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not tempt you beyond what you can bear. (1 Cor. 10:13)

Healing Waters!

Dear Lord, as we go through a new day with all the things we have to do, may we pause to reflect upon Your healing waters. We need complete healing in our hearts, in our homes and especially our nation and in the world. We need the strength to be stronger in the winds of change and hours of adversity.

This morning Lord, I pray that Your healing would come to those who need it and that Healing Waters will continue to flow in and through them as they seek You. (Psalm 147:3)

May we find peace in this day and in our world. So many are hurting, too many are suffering and in pain. Lord, we thank you for healing the hearts of those who a need Your touch. We pray for Your strength and healing to come, in Jesus name I pray, Amen

(And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations” Revelation 22:1-2)

HOME

Home isn’t necessarily a place or residence.

It’s a sound.

It’s a smell.

It’s a feeling.

It’s family stories.

It’s traditions.

It’s a culture and it’s an identity

It’s often a memory, and a structure that provides an anchor of sort’s.

It can be a dream or a feeling of coziness.

It can bring back emotional reminders of the people who’ve impacted your childhood.

It’s that cold winter day that makes you thankful for the warmth within your heart.

When you grow up as a city girl like I did, it can be the loud sirens and clanging trains or honking buses that remind you of yesteryears home.

For me, it’s sights and sounds of pigeons on the rooftop and walking on cobblestone paths.

It’s the open air market lined with fresh produce, meat and seafood stands.

Wanting to go home is a sensory experience and it’s a reminder of good things.

Yes, it’s in those moments when a sight, sound, smell or feeling can bring you to a place where memories give you that sensation of being there, that’s the moment an individual's inner world, values, and life’s journey is built.

Reminiscent of days gone by, but taking time out of the today’s, and doing the simplest task becomes a new journey. It’s one of life’s fulfillments and pleasures. That is HOME

Take time and the journey ahead and write what home means to you…

Blessings

Children 🌸🌼

Relying on Gods Proverbs!!!

Often we see, hear or read the phrase formerly quoted by a political figure, "It takes a village to raise a child."  This quote is said to be an African proverb, but its origin hasn’t been traced down to a certain place according to my researching its history. It may be a made up term, but it’s one that’s spoken over and over. When quotes are taken literally they can become clichΓ©. While the meaning behind it is sort of a community mindset, it’s truly not what the family unit should represent. Lately we see it more like; “It takes a government to raise a child”, and this idea’s troubling. No, it doesn’t take a village or government to raise a child. It takes a parent(s) guided by Gods hand to raise a child, and we are the most important role models for our children. Parents must be prayerful, and careful to not fall into a deceptive trap or mindset. At times our children learn lessons in the most painful way, and that’s by the examples set, but don’t be discouraged. Start by praying for your children, pray for your parenting skills, and pray for your family. Yes, there are times family members, friends and church families help lovingly guide them, but this is not a village (500-2500 people). Don’t be caught off guard, focus on the Lord and allow Him to help you train up your child (Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.) Blessings

Rain Down ☔️

Sometimes we need it to rain down!! The Holy Spirit..The Spirit...stay tuned into that still small voice. At times you may  experience things that will blow your mind...those first moments...those special meetings...those goose bump times ... it’s at that moment when God allows you to see from a heavenly perspective... w o w ... He did it with us...we prayed for a child, and when we got off the elevator on that hospital floor to meet our daughter.  The elevator doors opened, and we felt this intense  " w h o o s h "...a rush of wind, and The Holy Spirit fell upon us...everything turned to slow motion, and we were so filled with awe and compassion...God is good in those Holy moments. What would happen today if you witnessed His glory? Would you bow down in humble adoration? Would you be in awe or panic? What would it be like for you to sense His presence in such a magnificent way? He is with us today and desires for us to draw close to him. Holy Spirit rain down , our comforter and friend. How we all need you today. Holy Spirit Rain ☔️ Blessings.

(Hosea 6:3 (KJV) Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.)

Life!

Life is filled with choices and we can choose to make positive life changing decisions. Do we choose to be content or discontent? Our words and our choices are the most powerful tools we have to live by! We choose where to live, where we work, when we travel, and what to eat. We must also choose how we speak, what we think and how to behave. We can choose to follow God or we can choose to follow after the ways of the world? Ultimately the choice is ours to make. We always have the choice! We can live a life of hope and courage in the midst of chaos and pain. Every choice we make matters; we can choose joy, we can choose life, we can choose kindness, we can choose the simplest things at times and possibly the most complicated ones. All in all, we can live with good choices.

The Bible reminds us (John 14:18) that He would not leave us as orphans. In a world lost in sin, many are left with the feelings of being an orphan by their choices, but we can rise above this as we choose to follow the Lord. Once we choose to accept Him as Lord and Savior, it becomes a lifelong journey. We can learn to use our gifts and talents in service to others. What a liberating choice; true freedom found in Him. Living life making positive choices rather than the poor choices that ultimately will change us. Take time out of your day for a moment and think about your character and if they are characteristic of God’s love. We have the freedom to choose, what choice will it be? Use your time and energy wisely; think upon good things. (Philippians 4:8). Today, I am thankful He first chose me. John 15:16. He also chose you!

Micah 6:8 He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God

Rest & Peace

God, Creator of heaven and earth is faithful and is committed to keeping His promises.

They are; Yes and Amen!

(Psalm 146:6 He made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. He keeps every promise forever.)

The Lord is with us; as we look to the skies  with a full moon or even starlit night we see the vastness of His mighty Hand.

Gods Hand is powerful and it holds with it great strength to accomplish so much. In this we have been created twice by His Hand, first in our mother’s womb and secondly in the rebirth, renewal of our salvation, when we call upon Him.

His Hand rescued all humanity by way of the Cross, and it stands for great mercy by His sovereignty. We must believe that through this we are more than conquerors because Christ Jesus loves us. His loving Hand chastens us when we are wrong, and yet comforts us when we are suffering, in pain and hurting. The Lord is for us and not against us! We have the loving guidance of His mighty Hand and the righteous judgement on that final day when every knee will bow and tongue confess that He is Lord.

(1  Peter 5:6.  Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God.)

Find rest and peace in His loving presence today!

He loves you! πŸ’•πŸŒœπŸŒ–⭐️πŸŒ™πŸͺπŸŒ☀️🌟🌈🌞
