Fruit Bearers

(You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last.  (John 15:16) Atool used in cleaning a garden is called a spader, and it’s an item found in survival gear. Its use is to dig up the soil and chop deep to the roots to clean debris for planting. Fruit bearers use the tool of their choice to get the job done and are busy working the soil of life. Good soil is important in gardening, but water is the component needed to bring about the fruit.  The labor of our work is the same, pruning produces more fruit and the Lord knows the areas of our life that need to be pruned to be more effective for Kingdom work. Branches can’t bear the fruit when they’re ripped from the vine (life of a believer). We are grafted to the vine and we get the vitamins and nutrients needed to help stay connected to the Lord.

(I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:5)

The more we dig in (Study), the more we water (Seek) and the more diligent we are in preparing (Prayer) the more effective plan and tool (Holy Spirit) will be in guiding us along the pathway called life.

(He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Psalm 1:3)

May we all take time to dig, prepare, and plan with the Lords help. He will help us to be stronger and better for the work He has created us to do. Blessings...mab
