Salt is used for multiple reasons; whether it’s used in cooking, cleaning, or just plain old preserving. It’s useful for dyeing, coloring and bleaching. It’s one of the most effective sources to help with healing sore throats, cold sores etc. Salt is noted in the Bible; Matthew 5:13-16 Jesus says, “You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Hmmmmm 🤫 Salt can be used for so much and yet it can be harmful to your health and wellness if not maintained properly. Too much salt can harmful as can be too little. Balance is the key and we are learning that in this life hardships come and they go, but God is still the same. He has given us a valuable key in the words of “salt and light.” We find that when we lose our saltiness (drive) and flavor (passion), our light is no longer bright but a flickering dimly lit flame. We as a nation (people) are in a dangerous place as the light is flickering down, and He is calling us to know Him in a deeper level. So many have turned away and lost their salt components. Would you take a moment to pray and ask the Lord to help you with this? When salts added to food, it brings out the flavors. Salt is a necessary spice and it needed in our walk as believers, we are called to be the salt of the earth. Don’t turn away as so many have. We are to share His love and strive to follow Him with our all. I’m in a place lately of a passionate pursuit, I’ve not arrived but I’m hungry to know Him more and seek His face. Would you call on Him today? He loves you.
