Stillness of the hour. Waking to a new day, a new week, and the holidays are just around the bend. So many people in need of prayer, but mostly in need of healing. Wounds from long ago or maybe even recent days, those stories of yesteryear fill the headlines, and they seem to substitute compassion with lack of empathy. We live in a society where change is inevitable, and traditional values are being replaced with a false hope. In reading Matthew 9:36; “Jesus was moved with compassion when He saw the large crowds, because they were helpless, wandering like sheep without a shepherd.” At times our hearts can be moved without saying a word, but learning to be still in that hour, and acting upon the cry of your heart can speak volumes to people. People need the Lord! Food for thought; “When moved to praying for someone, do we really pray for that person or do we forget their plight?” Maybe,it could be a time when you’re prompted to turn around and give your last dollar, or maybe the groceries in your car handed to the one standing on the corner, do you?” Possibly could it be the one in the grocery line, when you are nudged to buy their groceries, do you shrug it off?” In a world of hustle and bustle, one must find some stillness in the hour, and have the same eyes of compassion, mercy and kindness. May we all find someone to reach out to this day, this month or in the remaining year 2020. It’s a time to share His love with others. Many Blessings
