Dedicated
to the women who cannot and will not conceive a child; there is emptiness, but
there doesn’t have to be sadness with it. The Lord tells us in the book of
Isaiah 54:1 we should sing; 'Sing, O barren, for more are the children of the
desolate than the children of the married wife, says the Lord.' I would say how
does one rejoice in this pain and lot in life?
I think it is a matter of our heart attitude, thanking God for the blessings in life no matter what lot we have been dealt, and reaching out to the many children that do not have parents or have parents that are void in their life; whether by their absence, neglect or abuse, whether by step parenting, adoption, or just outreach to the many needs around us such as; special need centers or local hospital wards, libraries where we can volunteer our time to be a story teller etc.

But how do we see women that can have the miracle of birthing a child and be happy for them?
As hard as it is to attend these wonderful occasions for some, baby showers and countless birthday celebrations; it is just a matter of the heart. Being thankful for the precious life and be happy for the family that will love and nurture that child as their own, no matter their pain… Stepping and learning to put on the hat of love and thankfulness. God is gracious in each situation and just embracing it with a heart of gratitude helps some women get through the pain and sorrow,
Just as Hannah in the Bible “as she surrendered to the priest the fruit of her womb, Hannah jubilantly sang, 'The barren hath borne seven.' (1 Samuel 2:5) Oh Hannah! Whatever do you mean? You have no abundance - only one, and even he has been torn from you. Hannah's vow of surrender unleashed the power of God. You can treat this as a burden, struggling, and afflicting yourself, or you can unleash love and let snuggling into the heart of God become the beautiful experience He intended it to be. Can you imagine what that must have been like, to surrender the one child given to Hannah? I am sure Hannah gave no place to bitterness and pain, just praise and thanks… Surrender your situation and be like Hannah, sing….
