Luke 4:18-19 (MSG) God’s Spirit is on me; He’s chosen me to preach the Message of good news to the poor, sent me to announce pardon to prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, to set the burdened and battered free, to announce, “This is God’s year to act!”
In times of uncertainty people seem to say and do the strangest things. As for those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose, must be Bigger than that! We must guard our lips, heart and eyes to be Bigger than that! As we step daily with a passion to see lives touched by His love and great Mercy, we must step Bigger than that! The words; “Bigger than that!”, came early during a morning study and it was an eye opener of sorts. It prompted me to ask myself these questions.
How is my time with the Lord?
How is my fellowship with the Lord?
Personally, I must say my time should be, Bigger than that!
· Our faith should be bigger than our
fear!
· Our love should be deeper than our
disdain!
· Our pursuit after the Lord should be
bigger than stepping back!
· Our hope should be bigger than our
pessimism!
· Our compassion should be bigger than
our indifference!
· Our gratitude should be bigger than
our ingratitude!
· Our kindness should be bigger than
meanness!
· Our generosity should be bigger than
our pettiness!
Being part of something Bigger than that takes a greater level of compassion, forgiveness, faith and a whole heap of gratitude. It’s when we begin to get before the Lord, when He shows us our own frailties Its then and there that we can be part of something greater than ourselves, and that is truly magnified by the Spirit of God within us. We look around and see a hurting world, people who need the Lord; we are the chosen vessels to speak the Good News.
May you find a quiet resting place of
inspiration today, and tabernacle with your God. He is so much bigger than
anything you can ever dream or imagine!

situation, God is there! You are part of something bigger than yourself, would
