Unity in Diversity!

Unity in Diversity! We hear a lot about diversity but not too much about unity in diversity. This is an important part of the oneness in diversity. As diversity often tends to divide. Unity in diversity is clearly written in 1 Cor.12:1-11 with regard to the spiritual gifts. Paul mentions the variety of diversities of these gifts but the same spirit, and the same Lord. Unity is the portrait and bond of a bride and groom becoming one. It’s when something fragmented or broken is repaired. It’s clearly celebrating important events and often times problem solving. It’s uniting differences not dividing them. Diversity on the other hand can often separate believers as not allowing the spiritual gifts to move as one body. (1 Cor. 12:13 For by one Spirit we were ALL baptized into one body - whether Jews, Greeks, whether slaves or free - and have ALL been made to drink in one Spirit. ) If we are all uniquely created why are there so many opposing factors in the church at large? Maybe if we could unite the local churches for worship and a time of unified prayer, nothing more nothing less, God would be able to move and have His way! As it reads in 2 Chronicles 7:14 & v. 7:15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.” Let’s take time to pray for a national revival of the Church as a whole, a sort of “unity in diversity”. Blessings.
