Today

Pursuing God is needed most today…
Jeremiah-29:13
"And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart."
It is the dawn of a new day, a rainy forecast on a Monday in October. Storm clouds are on the horizon, the touch of fall is in the air. Thinking back to the start of this morning it was too early to rise, but rise we will to a new day that only comes by way of the master.
Taking a moment today to meditate upon all that is needed to accomplish the tasks at hand. There will be house work, homework, and tasks that include schedules with demands of so many. Yet, at times like this we must slow it down a pace, look up and thank the Lord in heaven for a new day as tiresome as it may seem.
Today is the day when stopping to pray and realizing the most important thing that can be accomplished will come by way of love, and a double portion of His grace. It’s in these moments that I must break up the fallow ground of my heart and show forth His radiant light.
  • I needed a morning such as this to realize joy can be obtained in this storm cloud day.
  • I needed a morning like this to give praise, and thanks to the Lord God for such a compassionate husband.
  • I needed a morning like this to praise Him for choosing me to be the mommy of our children, though not flesh of my flesh yet miraculously my own.
  • I needed a morning like this to realize that standing in the gap for a dear friend can only found spending time on my face before the Lord God in prayer.
  • I needed a morning like this taking time to stop and bring doughnuts into the office was like bringing the sweetness of the Spirit of God.
  • I needed a morning like showing me that the pursuit of God was not only in reading or writing, but it’s what my hope, destiny, and purpose holds true as a child of the King.
  • I needed a morning like this to realize that each day is a gift in itself and how I approach the day will determine the altitude I may climb, and the attitude my heart will set.
  • I needed a morning like this to share it with you in order to say, thank you for being dear to my heart and dear to the Lord. May we all find rest in Him today… He alone is worthy of all praise!
We all have an eye witness account to what God has done in our life, a testimony. It must be told and at time written in word form. Here is a sonnet sonnet confessed by Michael Angelo ( mid- 1500’):
My unassisted heart is barren clay, that of its native self can nothing feed: Of good and pious works Thou art the seed, that quickens only where Thou says it may: Unless Thou show to us Thine own true way No man can find it: Father! Thou must lead.

These words will repay study as the deep and serious testimony of a great Christian.
