Balm of Gilead.

Balm of Gilead. (Genesis 37:25; Jer. 8:22). This balm is a rear medicinal resin like oil that was used in biblical times releasing a healing to the core. Salvation through Jesus Christ is likened to the balm of Gilead. The meaning in Hebrew for Gilead is “heap of witness” and it’s found in the mountainous region east of the Jordan river. Jesus came as the balm, and to a heap of witnesses. (Luke 17:11-19) The gospel has many testimonies on healing, salvation and making the wounded whole. Jesus came as the “balm of Gilead” for all those hurting and in need of a Savior. He lifts us up and He brings restoration to the weary soul. He specializes in the broken and wounded places of a heart, and restores faith in mankind. We may question; is there no balm in Gilead?, when we see the decay of our world. Yes, there is a balm and it’s found in Jesus Christ. Our Savior come to earth as a babe in a manger, He came to set people free and make the wounded whole again. This is a precious gift presented to us, it’s basket 🧺 of balsam for an anointed healing.

May you touch and taste to see that it the Lord is good. Jesus releases that balm to you today, and for the rest of your life!
