1 Chronicles 16:8-36 - David's Song Of ThanksGiving....
This morning in reading
these verses; take time to meditate upon them. It reminds us; we should give
thanks to the Lord, we should declare His glory, His wonders, His covenant, His
mercy and so on. Gratitude helps us to realize that we are so blessed and will
keep us focused on His benefits daily. We see the glass of water as half full,
not as half empty. The food we eat will taste so much better when we are
thankful for it. Our friendships and relationships are better when we are
thankful for them. When we teach our children to say thank you, they learn to
be appreciative. It helps them to stop and take notice and see the good gifts
of others. Having a heart of thankfulness brings contentment to the one who
discovers the meaning behind this valuable truth. In the face of sorrow it
brings the gift of healing and hope. It encourages one to see beyond
their own limitations and reaches out to help another. It is powerful and helps
bring restoration. May we learn the true art of Thanksgiving as we read these
verses in this chapter.
Be blessed and be thankful, for by this graciousness
abounds.
Matters of the heart.... Thankful for every sunrise and sun to set... Its with abandonment and resolve to serve Jesus Christ my Savior!
