Taking time to meditate upon His promises. We must give thanks to the Lord, and we should declare His glory, His wonders, His covenant, His mercy, His healing hands and so much more. Gratitude helps us to realize that we are blessed and it can help keep us focused on His daily benefits. Do we see the glass of water as half full, or as half empty? Do we see that miracle on the horizon? Does the food we eat taste better when we are thankful for it? Do our friendships and relationships seem solid when we are thankful for them? When we teach our children to say thank you, they will learn the beauty of appreciation. It will help them to stop and take notice and see the good in others. Living a life of thankfulness brings a rich contentment to the one who discovers this valuable nugget. In the face of uncertainty it will bring a renewed hope. It will help encourage us to see beyond our own limitations and helps us to reach out to another. Gratefulness is powerful and can help bring restoration. May we all learn the true art of giving thanks as we read these verses in this chapter. Take a moment to journal why you are thankful! What is it that moves you to be grateful? Be blessed and be thankful, in this His graciousness abounds. 1 Chronicles 16:8-36 - David's Song Of ThanksGiving
