So many things do not make sense in the world, and it’s the very reason we must pray. Reasons to pray far outweigh the reasons to not... God is Sovereign! God knows our hearts and He hears our prayers! God is for us! We have had so many shifts in our family and the yet the Good News of salvation must be shared. The Lord has declared that we can proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord and comfort all who mourn. He has given us beauty for ashes and the oil of joy for sorrow. The garments of praise for the spirit that is weighted upon us can be found in none other than Jesus Christ our Lord. In reading Isaiah 61, I’m reminded that He is still setting prisoners free and binding our hearts to Him. That’s what the message of the Cross is all about! May be the Spirit of God be upon us this day, week and year!
