Jeremiah

In reading through Jer. 31 this morning I wonder if this great prophet truly pondered verse 33 while penning this chapter.  He mentions people surviving the sword and finding peace in the wilderness.

This seems to be a promise for today. So many left behind, so many wounded soldiers and so many wilderness experiences. The watchman are crying out, praising and still proclaiming His goodness.

He will turn mourning into joy and gather His people. There will be a bitter weeping as with Rachel, but He wants us to know there is a future of Hope. He will show mercy and replenish the sorrowful soul. We must keep our eyes fixed on the Lord, look to the One who created the heavens and the earth.

A New Covenant is in the works. May you hold onto the light by night and by the day. Don’t grow weary.

He loves you ... mab
