Hungering for God

Are you hungry? Are you thirsty?

When your tummy grumbles and you are hungry, food becomes a necessity. Why not add a little meat to your plate by chewing on God’s word this morning? When Jesus said “I am the bread of life” (John 6:35 & 48), He was letting us know there is something regarding our needs and His provision. When we hunger for more of the Lord, we are sustained, energized and made whole in Him. The hunger pains become satisfied palates of wisdom, comfort and expectation. Hope is renewed. We can’t move forward if we are malnourished, so take a moment to replenish yourself in His Daily Bread today. (Matthew 4:4)

Psalm 42:1 As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.

We are all thirsty for more, but it’s not water. The thirst we have as human beings is a deeper, richer yearning. This form of replenishing comes from the depths of our soul. Its quench can only be fulfilled by the immersed passion to follow after God. Often times, people look for a filling in all the wrong places. We should bring our vessels to the Lord and drink, the water is free and it gives life! A new morning of His mercy and grace is extended to you, drink and eat. You will be fulfilled. Blessings…
