SIGNS

What sign do we display? Protesters hold up signs that can be quite confusing as they seem to walk in disagreement. A hodgepodge of signs displaying words; large & small signs with words such as: Peace, Justice, Pro-choice, Pro-life, Signs that boycott Nations, signs that say the the Lord-being a refugee. Some signs are not worth repeating, but it just represents volumes of disagreement. It seems continued onslaughts of words can bring division and not unity within a community. We know that all people matter, all lives matter, all ages matter, all nations matter to God. Why display the Lord in such a way that is a misguided truth. While many are turning protest signs into works of art, it makes one question which sign they’re holding up. Is it one that bears the name of Christ? What word or display of words would we personally carry? Does the sign you’re living out have a positive impact on those around you? Does it speak words of love, compassion and harmony? If not, it’s time to re-evaluate the sign being lived out. We can’t do everything but we must do something when it comes to reaching out beyond our four walls. Let’s hold a sign that represents LOVE-Jesus said; (John 13:35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.) Take time to reinvest in your signage. God loves you. Blessings.
