The Lord is your keeper

The Lord is your keeper even if you have an element of surprise…

Elements of surprise often bring about a time to celebrate with joy, laughter and great memories. We can look for these elements in our daily events. Pure joy when our loved one has a funny moment or story to share and it warms the heart. Surprise when a dear friend stops by to bless you with great conversation and a divine basket of homemade goodies. Elements of surprise can bring a warmth to the inner heart with joy and gladness when it’s been a hard day and all you want to do is stop and sit awhile. We can learn from a parable about the element of surprise that comes to us through seasons of change.

(Matthew 24:32 “Take a lesson from the fig tree. From the moment you notice its buds form, the merest hint of green, you know summer’s just around the corner. So it is with you: When you see all these things, you’ll know he’s at the door. Don’t take this lightly. I’m not just saying this for some future generation, but for all of you. This age continues until all these things take place. Sky and earth will wear out; my words won’t wear out.(MSG)

Elements of surprise can at times bring us a deep longing to make changes to our character, appearance, our home décor, our travels and so the list goes on. Taking a moment to think about  elements of surprise one can think about the warfare that goes on for the believer. We are not surprised by the enemies’ tactics and his devices. 1 Peter 4:12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you.

We can stand and trust the Lord to see us through whatever the element of surprise you may be facing. He cares for you, and desires you to surrender the outcome to His perfect plan and will. So today if you are faced with one, surrender the outcome to His perfect plan and will, He loves you and desires you to be at peace.

(The Lord watches over you the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm - he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. Psalm 121:5-8)
