Fall rains...

James 5:7 Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains.

Refreshing fall rains bring cooler sunlit mornings in the southern states during this time of year. It’s a nice reprieve to wake up and have a crisp cool sweater wrapped morning walk with the fur baby. It’s in those moments one can reminisce of days gone by, times when thoughts take you back to tables being set for holiday feasts with families gathering to give thanks. While this time of year isn’t the best for many, it can be hard to prepare when so many things are pressing. This year, 2020 has loomed past like an out of control roller coaster ride, and it’s uncertain when it will stop, but in this we must still give thanks... Just this week my awesome hubby read a great devotional about having a heart of gratitude, and how we can’t help but be thankful.... While Thanksgiving is soon approaching, it’s one of the best times of year. A time when we as a nation can pause and truly ‘Give Thanks’. We have a lot to pray for and a lot to be thankful for today.

So this year remember that the fall rains may come, and they may go, but Almighty God is in control of these rains. We need the rains in order to have a harvest.

So today, if your heart is weighed with the cares and concerns, be patient and wait for His perfect timing. God is truly faithful and He knows what is needed and what time it should happen. Just take a moment to be thankful, fall is a happy season. Cozy up with the Lord and let Him reign on you and your family this fall season…

Remember to be a blessing to others at this time of year, so many people need the Lord. Blessings
