Just for a moment, think about the story of Abraham. God made a promise to Abraham that his descendants would be too numerous to count. He said; your children will flourish—like stars in the sky. (See Genesis 13:14-16) No doubt, he wondered how that was going to be possible when he had no children and no hopes of having any. But God delivered on His promise and Abraham was blessed with Isaac. Then the unthinkable happened. Abraham was told to sacrifice Isaac. When faced with the problem of losing his only son, Abraham chose to focus on his promise, believing that God would not go turn back on His word. (See Genesis 22:5, 8) No matter how the situation looked, Abraham knew the promise was bigger than the situation. God delights in doing the impossible. Whenever it looks like your problems are bigger than God's promise, remember that He is the One who provides, in ways we can’t even begin to imagine or dream possible.
Abraham named that place God-Yireh (God-Sees-to-It). That’s
where we get the saying, “On the mountain of God, he sees to it.”(The MSG Gen.
22:14) Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to
this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen or “The Eternal One will
provide."
Today, if you are hard pressed and you don't see the promises of God being fulfilled in your life, just trust in the One who says to draw close to Him and He will draw close you. You are a child of promise and God takes delight in His children.
Many Blessings...
