Deut. 16:1-2. Be careful to observe Gods statutes. Definition of Abib is; the first month of the ancient Hebrew calendar which corresponds to Nisan. The word Nisan means the Jewish religious calendar typically ranging from April 1- April 25. Deuteronomy chapter 16 is a review of the Passover, and as we enter it tomorrow at sundown, we can read how God instructed His people centuries ago! When we reflect upon all He has done, and all He has provided we can share this with others in this season. He longs for us to have hope and confidence in Him. This trust and obedience is needed to press on by faith. While we may not have an actual Torah in our homes or the items served during the Passover meal we do have a Bible. In the law of God as revealed to Moses and recorded in the first five books of the Hebrew Scriptures . We can read from this and have communion with the Lord in our homes during this time of quarantine. Prepare a Seder plate and take time to reflect upon His promises. This week is considered the most Holy Week, and we desperately need God to move in this time. May He bless you and cause His to shine upon you as you seek him during Passover as you seek Him, pray and believe. 2020!
