November, the one month out of the year that represent “thanks”. Why is it so many choose to go from October to December? If we can pause, and stay a while in this month, reflect, and give thanks, it may help with a better outlook in the new year. I love the Christmas season, but I must say this year, November will not take a sideline as I’ve so much to be thankful for. Yes, when you choose an attitude of gratitude, you learn the art of contentment Paul spoke of in this verse. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.) Often times life is hard and with this we can look to our circumstances with gratitude during the most difficult days. My husband is example as he says though dialysis is not his favorite thing to do, but he’s thankful for it as it helps until he gets his kidney. How many of us can say the same? What is it we are truly thankful for this month? We have a few weeks to ponder that question. Although, it may not change your circumstances, but gratitude changes you and definitely can help change your perspective. When feeling down this month, take a moment to journal and write your thoughts. Gratitude is a choice, you can choose to be grateful and life will become more joyful no matter. May you have a Thankful month.
Matters of the heart.... Thankful for every sunrise and sun to set... Its with abandonment and resolve to serve Jesus Christ my Savior!
